1.  How do I Join Safe-Audit.com?

There is a section on the main page of www.safe-audit.com that you may click on titled ‘register as a host or register as an advertiser where you will be prompted to enter certain information regarding your site and the necessary contact details.

It is important that the contact information is accurate as all correspondence will be done via the email address that you provide and checks will be issued in the name you provide and posted to the address that is given.

2.  Is it FREE to join Safe-Audit?

Absolutely! There are no membership fees now or ever to be paid by a member host site on Safe Audit. You may begin generating revenue as soon as your site is approved. The checks you will receive from Safe-Audit will be a net figure that has had our 20% commission deducted before it was printed so you will never have to pay any money to Safe-Audit.

3.  How do I know if I am a host or an advertiser?

If you have a site that wishes to host banners on your pages in order to earn revenue then you must register as a ‘Host’ site. Should you wish to advertise your service or product on other people sites then you must register as an ‘advertiser’ . You may provide your own banners or we at Safe-Audit may design banners for you as a free service! You can of course have both a host site membership and be an advertiser. In which case you have to register twice.

4.  Do I have to pay anything in order to advertise on Safe?

If you wish to advertise with Safe-Audit (in other words have your banners displayed on member hosts sites) you will be required to pay in advance for an advertising budget.

5.  How long will I have to wait before I can start hosting banners?

The time taken to activate your account shouldn’t take any longer than a few days from the time that you registered your site. For sites that have a greater traffic response, a member of safe-audit will visit your site and personally activate you account. As soon as you are registered you will receive email notification that we have received your application and once the site is activated you will again be notified of this.

6.  Why can I not host all the banners available on the Safe-Audit network?

The Safe-Audit system allows for specific targeting of advertising, that is to say that member hosts are only be allowed to host banners that are relevant to their sites. For example, if you have a sports site, you will not be able to host a banner that offers financial services but you will be free to host advertising relevant to sports or advertising that suits a general audience. This is the best way to achieve the highest payout for members as well as producing the best results for advertisers.

7.  How come I have been made an ‘Affiliate’ member?

There are several reasons why a site may be given ‘affiliate’ status instead of full membership, these range from having a site with relatively low traffic, to a site whose content is viewed as inappropriate to the bulk of our advertisers. Members that are caught cheating may also be relegated to this status. Affiliate sites are still permitted to host banners that also pay out good revenue. However they are restricted to banners that pay per action. This means that the affiliate host banners only generate revenue once an action such as user registration, software download, Sale etc. has been processed and accepted by the advertiser. It is possible for an affiliate status to be changed to a full Safe-Audit member status. We constantly monitor the traffic stats of our member host sites and we are able to change the status should it be appropriate. Please note also that all affiliate members of Safe will eventually be offered full membership once the new version of Safe-Audit is running at the end of the year.

8.  What do I get paid for hosting a banner?

The rate varies from one advertiser to the next as does the type of campaign. The main types of campaign are those that pay by exposure (CPM) which pays the host rate per thousand visits to the page that is hosting the banner. These rates vary but generally are in the order of $1 to $5.00 per 1000 exposures. Another type of campaign that is run is a ‘click-through’ campaign. The rates here generally vary from 5c per click to 30c per click, the rate is dependent on the advertiser and the type of product/service being marketed. The third type of campaign is one that pays per action such as the one that Safe-Audit itself uses paying by confirmed registration. The host gets paid a commission when the sale or registration or other action is confirmed. For example Safe-Audit pays $5 per new member that joins Safe-Audit and is activated as a full member.

9.  When do I get paid?

The checks are mailed out at the end of the month for the preceding month. What this means is that the checks for revenue that are accrued during August and reported at the end of August are mailed out at the end of September and so on. It is important to note, however, that checks are only mailed out once the member host has accrued a credit balance of more than the specified amount (min $20, configurable from your member area). The checks should arrive in the U.S by the end of the first week in the month. You will receive an e-mail notification of the value of the check and confirmation that the checks have been posted out.

10.  Can I get paid in my local currency?

Unfortunately at this time we are limited to paying in either US ($) or Pound Sterling (£) you may choose which currency you wish to receive payment in when you join as a host, or you may change currencies simply by e-mailing your request to admin@safe-audit.com... Although we do advise that if you live outside the U.S or U.K, you set your preference to US$ for ease of clearance.

11.  How do I view my current statistics?

This may be done by entering the ‘member area’ of Safe-Audit using your Login name and password, you will be presented with various options whereby you will be able to view the current realtime stats on all the banners that you are hosting at present.

12.  Why are my stats at zero when I know I have had traffic?

Safe-Audit updates its system on the first working day of the month, resetting stats back to zero. It is at this time that all the balances are carried forward and archived in the database. Credit has not been lost, but is carried forward to the new month. The Safe-Audit accounting month runs from the first working day of the month to the last working day of the month. At this time it is not possible to see in your management area what you have earned in previous months, only the current one. That will be changed in the new version to be released at the end of the year.

13.  What do I do when I cant login to my account

This is a problem occasionally experienced by our member hosts. It is generally related to a caching problem which makes our system believe you are already logged in and therefore refuses access. What we suggest in this case is that you clear the cache folder on your browser before shutting it down, then start up the browser again and attempt to login in using the user name and password that you have assigned. Should the problem persist, use our contact form and we will attempt to assist you further.

14.  How do I get the code to put on my page if I wish to host banners?

Once you have entered the ‘member area’ and selected the ‘choose new banners’ option, you will be presented with a list of banner categories that you may select by clicking on one or more of the options. You will then be presented with a list of advertisers who have banners that you are entitled to host. Clicking on an advertiser provides more information about that campaign. After selecting those you wish to review you will be shown the individual banners with average performance stats. You may follow the instructions on how to download any of them. The code will be sent to you via e-mail automatically (another reason why the e-mail address that you submit must be correct!) this code must be installed on the page that you are hosting the banner on.

15.  May I change the hosting code?

According to the Safe-Audit terms and conditions, the hosting code may not be adjusted in any way. The code is designed to ensure accurate statistics are recorded, this is designed to protect both the hosts and advertisers. If you alter the code in any way including not showing the Safe-Audit message this can lead to your losing all the credit you have accumulated and your membership may also be terminated.
